Athena00181 - Fuschia Moments and Poetic Visions

For long you live and high you fly and smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry and all that you touch and all that you see is all your life will ever be. - Pink Floyd

Verse 4

Light filters through my window pane
and splinters into manifold
the dazzling colors stained on
a small piece of glass
the Light falls on my baby's face
roses upon her cheek
and leaves upon her nose
as I watch her sleep
in the afternoon glow
Life throws us new challenges
And waits around the corner
peeping out on occasion
To watch us
As we struggle, and muddle,
and sometimes take a fall
If in an abyss,
it finds a way
to get us over that wall.

Baby Dreams

I long to see your face my baby
growing inside me
your every moment a new experience
making a new memory.
To hold you and kiss you
and wrap you in all the love in the world
To show you all the things that wait on this side
To teach you whatever I can
Although I know you'll teach me more
So many people wait for you my baby
not just your daddy and me
but grandmas and grandpas, uncles, aunts and cousins
so until we see you, our lovely child
take your time to grow and be.
We'll wait.
We love you with all hearts
Our baby
Part of our family
It's hard to believe how time flies by
and yet when you go through each day
some seem long
those that never end
and others just slip away..
sometimes it feels like a blur
of faces, objects and memories
and at other times, an experience
to be savored
in all its glory..

Strange Eyes

I look into the eyes of a stranger
And see loneliness there
Where once was Life
A deadened sense of duty
A death
where once was Life
Questions float through my head
As I drift into reality.
My consciousness seems to ask
Seems to ponder
About the mysteries
that surround this ancient soul.

Autumn

The wind stirs through the trees
and I lean on him
the mountains etched in my eyes
the soft rustle of leaves
The crunch at my feet
Red,Gold, RedBeauty
for all to behold
grass as tall as me
Corn that gleams as gold
Far better
the wisdom in the eye of a doe
The power of Nature
Beauty for all to behold
My life, a tapestry of colours
of voices, peopleplaces.
Yet none as beauteous as Nature
Its richness manifold
What glory in nature!
Power in Destiny!
Beauty for all to behold

An Indian Bus Ride

Chugging away
I am jolted from here to eternity
The busy streets flash by
And my senses are assaulted
by the pungent odor
Of vegetables and fish
As the bus rolls to its final stop
The cry of people
Pushing and shoving
Hot and sweaty.A blast of hot air and
A couple of pokes laterI alight.
Winter sets in
A silent stillness infused in white
crystals drop across the grass
as I watch from my window... a passerby.
Sparkling, shimmering beauty
stark and cold outside
a bird cries,
then flies,
across the frozen mirror
a splash of warmth,
a sparkle of life
on an anotherwise dreary night.

Winter's Verse 1

sitting by my window to watchthe dancing patterns of autum flit by...
and instead find myself
fascinated by my ladybug friend
who crawls through her seemingly mundane life
her shiny black and red surface
her beady little head
perfection unto itself.
she slowly winds her way up what she thinks to be outside
along the urbane lines of my window
